When Jews were considered a race many were offended because they consider themselves a large family.<br>3. Kosher meat in the Jewish culture and land animals with split hooves and chew their cud. (Partly digested food returned to the mouth for further chewing.)</div>]]></description>

The Kosher practice forbids the eating of any insect, reptile, and amphibians; except for four types of locusts.<br>3. The Jews are labeled was labeled as a race in the 1980's even though they dd not fit the actual requirement for a race, which is that there has to be a genetic difference in their DNA to be a race.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. After World War 1 Germany was weak so it allowed 🤬 and other political powers to take advantage. 🤬 did that by blaming the Jews for all the problems that the Germans were experiencing and losing the war.<br>2. One argument for antisemitism and 🤬's leadership is that Jews are a nation and are disloyal to their country and trying to take power from the government.<br>3. Sabbath is the centerpiece  of Jewish life and is a day of rest and celebration starting on Friday at sunset and ending on the following evening after nightfall.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Jews believe themselves to be a family, and that they were offended in 1980's when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the Jews as a "race". Which of that is not technically true because a race is defined by genetics, not religion.<br>2. Jewish people pray three times a day. This praying service is practiced in synagogues, private homes, offices, etc.<br>3. Kosher means "satisfying the requirements of Jewish law". Kosher meat is meat from a individual animals killed by a "Shochet" and is put through practices to make it "fit" to eat.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.  Adolf 🤬 does not give a clear reason on why he hates Jews, but it is clear that he was introduced to antisemitism, someone who is hostile towards Jews, at a young age.<br>2.  In the 1980s, the years that the Jews were considered a race, many Jews were offended. They were offended because reminded then of 🤬 and the Nazis and how badly they were treated because they were considered an inferior race.<br>3. A Mezuzah is a parchment scroll. These Mezuzah are on the right side of the doorpost for a Jewish home.</div>]]></description>

Some of the people that call themselves Jews do not actually believe in the religion at all!  About half of the Jews in Israel call themselves "secular" .<br>2.  The origin of Adolf Hitlers hatred is unclear,  While in Mein Kampf, he states that his development of antisemitism was a result of personal issues .<br>3.  🤬 believed that only pure Germans were strong, so anyone with heredity diseases would be  considered harmful. </div>]]></description>

I learned that if you are Jewish, you have to make sure all of your food is "Kosher" <br>3. I learned that  the Jewish religion believes that Abraham is the messiah, and not Jesus Christ, they believe he is just a prophet, like Isaiah or Daniel or all the other Prophets. </div>]]></description>

However, you can be a Jew without sharing common ancestry by converting.<br>2. Tzedakah tells us that sharing out things with others isn't something special, it is something to do. No matter how much you are blessed with you can always share with others, throwing a coin in a charity box will set the tone for the day.<br>3. Shabbat  is the centerpiece of the Jewish live and it has been. Shabbat is a celebration that is one Friday at the sunset and ends the following evening after nightfall.</div>]]></description>

Not only do people that actually practice the religion call themselves Jews, there is a big portion of Jews who do not practice the religion at all.<br>2.  🤬 was not the only or even the first person to hate Jews. Since the Middle Ages people in Europe would discriminate Jews.<br>3. The synagogue is the place of Jewish worship, it is the center of Jewish life. Synagogues vary in what they look like but in many there is a holy ark, eternal light,  a platform, and a pillar. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Three things about Judaism (Claire Bodin):</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. The first thing I learned is that Judaism is considered a race. In the U.S it was declared a race to help stop discrimination against Jews, but the Jews were worried that this decision might bring more discrimination.<br>2. The next thing I learned was that Jewish people are not allowed to eat pork or shellfish. In the Torah, it says that pigs are "unclean" so Jews should not eat them. It also says that Jewish people should not eat shellfish because they don't have fish or scales. On top of that, they can't eat any meat unless it is kosher, or all of the blood is removed with salt.<br>3. The last thing I  learned was that Jewish people have a shall that they have to wear when they prey. It is called a Tallit and should technically be worn all day but people don't do that nowadays and they usually wear tzitzit (a small poncho) under their clothes when they are out and about. The Talit has a fringe attached to each corner to remind the Jew about God and his commandments.</div>]]></description>
