Explanation:

• Safer Internet Day: The core focus of the event.

• Ecology & Sustainability: Highlighting the importance of environmental protection and sustainable practices.

• Food: Specifically addressing the link between food systems, the environment, and online information (e.g., misinformation about food production, online platforms for sustainable food choices).

This acronym aims to broaden the scope of Safer Internet Day by encouraging discussions and initiatives that promote both online safety and a more sustainable future for our planet and its resources.

• Activity: Divide students into small groups and ask them to create posters with tips for staying safe online (e.g., protecting personal information, avoiding suspicious links, being kind online).

• Tools: Use markers and paper or digital tools like Canva or PowerPoint.

What to do: Our pupils already use modern devices such as tablets or smartphones and so I suggest to plan this activity in this way. We could give a computer for every student under teacher's control. Each pupil could do a poster to raise attention about Internet dangers for younger boys and girls. This poster will be simple but meaningful and must promote a more responsible use of digital instruments. For example, a poster could send this message

"If you receive bad messages on your phone, talk to your parents or teachers".

How to do: We can use Canva. Our pupils already used this tool with satisfaction and good outcomes.

2. To create interactivity, you could ask schools to partner with each other (in groups of two) and create 2 pages each- one school to make one page with a drawing and the other school writes the message and vice versa, working on canva. Then, you can gather the pages and make them into a video with all schools' collaborative posters.

3. Another idea, could be to use a tool like tricider or answergarden and ask students from all schools to share what are the most important online safety issues for them.

4. Finally, I would love the idea of an online meeting (mixed countries ) where students can talk with other schools and present one or two Safer Internet Posters/advice. They could also ask some questions to each other like a Quiz, to make it more fun.

5. I prefer the online meeting to be on esafety and the kahoot quiz challenge to be at each school's own time and then see the results, because I am afraid that we can't really find class times to be the same for all schools.

6. Finally, we can also do the acronym poster that Silvia proposes.
