My cousin's bestfriends quince - Nov 30

My cousin and her friend came to be about a week before the first practice and asked me because they said someone else canceled at the last minute. I was hesitant as I didn't know if I wanted to or not and because I didn't know if I could because I hadn't talked to either of my parents about it so I told them maybe. However, they took this as a yes and said I'd do it. Again hesitant, I mentioned it to my dad and he didn't seem concerned so I went. The practices were pretty fun and worthwhile as I learned the dances and the quinceanera's mom either brought doughnuts, snacks, or food like pizza or McDonald's. I got my first suit during this time and it felt nice to be dressed up all nice. When it was finally time for the quince I was excited and we all went to her house because we were all going together. It started calm with a little ceremony, then we had the option of having birria or fettuccini alfredo, then after we ate it was time for us to dance. It was nice and easy as my partner and I had the moves down comfortably. After our 5 main dances, it was a free party and the dance floor was open to everybody. Some of my friends went and there was a photobooth there so we all got together to take pictures. At the end of the night, I was so tired but I had a great time and would do it again.

My soccer team and I won undefeated - Nov 4

It was the last game of the season, the culmination of all the hard work and effort we put into the games and practices prior. I'm pretty sure it was against Chino, but it was a great game that ended in 3-1. The thing that I think made it great was the fact that for the first half,f we were lost and that's when they got their goal but in the second half we got it together and scored 3 to not only equalize but also give breathing space. It was intense as they weren't willing to give up their lead so they began to get physical which led to yellow cards. When the final whistle blew we were all so happy to have done it undefeated it was like we weren't tired from playing. Our coach gave a nice little speech then one for each of us as he placed our medals around us and handed us a pin. After everything, some of the players went home right after while some lingered around and talked. I was amongst those talking as it was a group of some of my friends and chill teammates. We were talking about how we were excited for sections and we hoped we didn't get smoked. After talking for a bit my mom, brother, and I went to In N Out for a celebratory dinner. All in all the whole experience was pretty great and I enjoyed the season so if I could do it again I probably would.

Halloween function w/ homie, brother and homegirl - Oct 30

I wasn't planning on doing anything for Halloween as my cousin didn't have plans and I wasn't invited to anything. My brother had shown his friend about it and then once she said she was down he told me about it. I was down but also a bit nervous because it was my first function and you never know. I told my homie about it that day during school and he said he'd either be going to that, a different one in El Monte, or kick it with his old friends in Santa Ana. I told him to let me know and the next day he told me he'd be going to the same one as me and to meet him there and he'd pull up with one of our other friends. My brother and I got ready, our homegirl got here, we ate, and we were off. We got there pretty early and there was a big group of our friends at the very front of the line so they let us go up with them and we got in early. The couple hours it was going on for was pretty fun but it got shut down before the rapper was supposed to show up which is pretty wack but it happens sometimes. I met my homie and a couple of other friends I didn't know were there and we had a good time for what it was. After it got shut down we walked down the hill (because it was by a golf course on a hill) until we got picked up. Afterwards, we got In-N-Out which is always bomb and I had a good time so I might go to the next one.

Last day of school - May 31

It started pretty normally, doing my everyday routine and going to school. When I got there you could tell everyone was chill because it was the last day. The teachers looked ready to go, and all the students were waiting to leave. It was pretty fun cause mainly none of my teachers had work for us so we just hung out. During lunch, they were giving cookies. Some friends and I had decided to walk down after school to hang out and get food fresh off summer. We got pizza, wings, breadsticks and some sodas then went to the park to chill after. We were all just chopping it up while one by one the group was going home. My brother and I were some of the last as were we talking to our homegirl Moni. It all was pretty fun though and I hope the last day this year is just as fun.

The whole gc got together - Jun 30

These plans has been in motion for a fat minute as the whole gc hadn't been outside together. Our homegirls Ale and Lari visited back from Vegas and they picked us up and we went to the beach. The drive there was long because we left kinds late and we were headed to Newport beach so ofcouse there was traffic. We hung out all day and we walked and talked. The sunset that day was also really cool looking. My and my homie were playing football with our homegirls uncles and that was pretty fun but I think that's when I jammed my foot. The whole thing was overall really fun and I definitely wanna do it again when they visit.
