In this poem a duck says to a kangaroo that to take him from the pond and give a ride on his back the duck was saying that i would sit quite still and do nothing just quack and was begging to take him for a ride and then said the kangaroo  your feet is unpleasant and wet then said the duck i bought four pairs of socks and to keep out of cold i will wear a cloak and every day a cigar ill smoke kangaroo said that i will take you out but sit steady  and quite end of my tail and they hopped happy whole day three times . 
The poet is trying to say that if you will be kind to others so others will also do better for you.

In poetry the duck wants to hop like a kangaroo but he can’t so he asked kangaroo respectfully that can he sit on his back sohe gave him permission to sit.The kangaroo said that only quack quack you can do not anything else.Now there was problem that duck legs were wet so he bought a pair of socks and then kangaroo allowed him and they hopped around the world 

The moral is that if we talk nicely so we can win other hearts
