Its because Singapore is a smaller country with not much space as Darwin, whereas Darwin has a larger space, which shorter buildings can be built. Compared to Darwin, Singapore looks like a country which has a higher standard in terms of technology and cities like these, mostly attracts foreigners due to their high-tech developments, resulting it to be a more densely populated country. Whilst Darwin, which barely have any skyscrapers even though it was clearly a bigger country than Singapore.

Singapore is  known as the RED DOT. I assume that Darwin has a larger population size than Singapore although the buildings are short and spread across in Darwin. Singapore has a higher population density than Darwin. Singapore is more of a cosmopolitan city than Darwin because many people from diverse cultural backgrounds come and live together in Singapore. Both Darwin and Singapore are built-up areas but I feel like Singapore is more of it because there are many giant skyscrapers than Darwin. Buildings in Darwin are short and spread all across the area whereas the buildings in Singapore are tall and densely packed together. Both Singapore and Darwin are known as human environment as there are no mountains, forests, etc and they both are built-up areas with large numbers of people and buildings and a lot of activities going on. Therefore, I would say that Singapore is a more developed country than Darwin as there are more transportation networks, gigantic skyscrapers, traffic congestion and office buildings where people do economic activities.

This is caused by the fact that Singapore is a very popular port country where many would come to trade , work and even settle in . its popularity made it a popular trading place and more and more people migrated here from poorer rural countries in order to earn a living for their families thus the population size gradually grew larger and larger and due to Singapore’s lack of space the demand for space also increased and so Singapore adapted high rise buildings and because there was a demand for high rise buildings there would also be a higher demand for construction workers , making Singapore most suitable for people of lower status to work in and earn money for their families thus urbanisation took place.As even today Singapore’s population is still slowly growing there is still much demand for high rise buildings and so Singapore became an industrial society , slowly becoming richer and slowly becoming  more technology advanced .
