Motives are the reason someone is willing to carry out a certain action. Motives are influenced by values heavily, but are easier to change. You need an action or event to have a reaction and ultimately a motive or intent.

Values are one's long term principles of behaviour, one's judgement of what is important in life, what is significant to themselves. It is the quality that renders something desirable, and these are less likely to change from event to event. Values are ingrained in one's self, and come from experiences and some influences.

Morality is the overarching guideline that people aspire to live by. This is either seen as subjective or objective depending on perspective, but one way to look at it is that morality is fixed, our interpretations (values) are not.

In my opinion, honor and loyalty are quite similar. Personally, I think that honor is doing (what you think) is the right thing for yourself. Loyalty, on the other hand, is a blend of sticking to one's side and being honorable towards them. To sum it up, loyalty is honor towards other, and honor is doing the best thing in one's eyes

Romeo 's love could be seen as fake, or just lust, but I think that even though they got married in 2 days, Romeo's feelings were genuine. This means that Romeo really loved and cared for Juliet and would do anything for her. An example is in the final act, he went from Mantua to Verona to commit suicide beside Juliet. If it was lust, he wouldn't have taken the time to do that.

These two things are quite often interchanged in Romeo and Juliet, but to what extent are they linked? Honour is often a cause of revenge, as it makes someone fight back against 'injustice,' but honour is not the only cause.
