• do not overthink! you've spent too much time studying and working to pass the exam - since the first day of school!
• keep yourself ready by engaging in things that keep your brain active: eating, practicing, reviewing all the things that you know you must do on the day of the exam.
• remember that you've seen the entire exam before, that nothing on the test will surprise you!
• and, finally, realize that everyone is rooting for you! your teachers, friends, classmates, and even strangers in the exam room. they're all rooting for you!

• the released examples on the collegeboard website alone exemplify how to write the essays at the exact scores you want. by reading and recognizing the writing style of other students in your shoes, you'll be conscious of what your own essay will have to look like to reach your standards.
• rewriting and strengthening your weaknesses, such as writing a good thesis or counterargument, will raise the score of your essay dramatically and improve your writing. make sure to try!
• try to speaking to the teacher who actually grades your essays during the practice hours of class. by understanding what a grader wants, your essay will gradually get better.
• google is your friend. and youtube. anything you need reviewing on is there.
• keep it simple, but write with passion.

• work hard on the albert assignments! if you can enhance your grades as time goes on, you'll be surprised how much harder those assignments are than the actual exam.
• focus on what you're reading. forget about whatever that's going on outside of the test room because how you feel about the day walking in will surely affect your testing!
• take your time on the questions you understand, getting the answers right help more than rushing to get it all done. if you don't understand something, give it another try before moving on. some things are simply hard to read, even for an ap student.
• don't second guess yourself so much. trust your gut AND the process!

• be aware of how much you can do and move forward from there. timed essays and tests can put a lot of stress on a student, be sure your able to handle it by working your hardest in timed writes during class and at home (even though that's even harder to do).
• even though they're timed, be aware of your handwriting. seriously. i think one of the things holding me back was my hard-to-comprehend handwriting.
