         <description><![CDATA[<div>I chose this video because I remember this particular song back when I was in school and how the school would try to teach students about different cultures. The song was used to basically say that even though people might come from different places and have different backgrounds we can all come together as one.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I decided to incorporate this picture to my padlet because I liked the way it shows different parts that make up what knowledge is. At the beginning of chapter 5, Ladson-Billings tries to define what knowledge is and how from being described basic recall and recognition of facts has become more of a measurement of what student must know for standardized testing. Also, she mentions how Ms. Winston expresses frustration towards standardized testing because she feels that it limits students knowledge and prevents from seeing students true capabilities and/or skills.</div>]]></description>

It discusses all different ways in which a teacher can effectively in corporate it in and even out of the classroom. It breaks down information of how to be culturally relevant without the misconception of focusing mainly is race or culture.</div>]]></description>

In the book, Ms. Lewis expresses her feelings and how it angers her to have worked with such bright student with great capabilities and they end up dropping out when they reach high school.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I chose this picture because it shows a representation of how Ms. Rossi's Math class probably looked liked implementing culturally relevant teaching. Ladson-Billings mention that Ms. Rossi incorporated different origins of math in her lessons. She also mentions that Ms. Rossi instead of using worksheets as part of an assessment, she would rather get her every one of students engage and involve during the lesson. "A worksheet is not a tool to be use to do the teaching for the teacher, but to reinforce students' knowledge".</div>]]></description>
