-Conor was being bullied but didn't want to tell the truth to the teacher. He wanted to just ignore the bullies. Conor got mad at his old best friend because she told everyone about her mom having cancer. When he got home his grandma was there and Conor didn't like her at his house. His grandma came to help his mom and to tell Conor he should come live with his grandmother, but Conor got mad and started yelling. But Conor's mom was throwing up and ill. That night the monster visited him and told him a story.

How have Conor's life experiences impacted him? How does that connect with some of his actions and interactions with others?

Conor's experiences impact him because he is becoming angry with people like his friends and grandma. Conor becomes mad and doesn't want the help of others even though he was getting bullied (he didn't want to tell the truth). Conor was feeling angry because of his mom because she had cancer and his grandma wanted him to live with him. He feels that his mother is why he is acting the way he is because everyone knows about her. He blames lily because he has no one else to blame for it, he doesn't want to admit that it was his fault. He feels no emotions when getting bullied because he doesn't care that much about what happened to him.

Also the monster will help him realize that being with his grandma is not that bad. To add on, the monster will make Conor realize whats going to him and how his anger is getting to him.

Why do you think the grandma reacted the way she did?

I feel like Conor's grandma acted the way she did because she was in so much shock about what happened to her living room that she didn't want to say anything to Conor because he broke her prized possessions that she loved. She broke the last thing standing because she knew that she couldn't do anything else because everything was broken already (she was very angry that she didn't know what to do because of Conor's mom)

The 3rd tale was about a man who was invisible which was Conor. The invisible man was seen by no one, but Conor wanted people to see him so he went to Harry and started a fight. He was being told a story while the monster was fighting Harry, which was actually Conor. Conor saw the monster fighting but he felt the punches in his hands. The Monster told him that he will be seen because that is what happened in the story he was told.

How does each tale embody Conor's experiences? Analyze each individual tale.

It shows Conors experiences because all the tales the monster had told him were about Conor and what he is going through. The first tale was about the Prince that killed the daughter because he was trying to over through the queen, which was about him fighting with his grandma about no wanting her around. The second tale was about a apothecary that didn't want to heal the Parsons daughters that had died because of his selfishness, which Conor wasn't nice to the yew tree but started to be nice when his mothers medicine was not working for her. The third tale was about the monster beating up a person to make him she him, which is what Conor did, so Conor is basically the monster because he beat up Harry and while the "Monster" was beating up Harry it was actually Conor doing that instead of the monster.

How is the movie meeting or not meeting your expect ions? What is similar to what you thought?

In the movie I expected Conor's mom to look more sick because she looked happy and didn't look like she was fighting anything. I didn't like that the nightmare was told to us right away. In the film in the beginning we saw what Conor's nightmare was even though in the book we didn't know till the end of the book. I feel like adding the nightmare at the end of the film like in the book would add a lot more suspense to the reader to make them want to continue reading to find out that nightmare, instead of knowing what it was right at the beginning. It could have made the reader question about the nightmare instead of knowing it.

If you could revise ONE character, who would it be? What changes would you make?

If I could make any changes to a character it would be the mother, because I feel like a person who is going through cancer and chemo would feel and look more sick than how she looked. When I think of someone going through chemo I feel like they would be fully bald and would act differently than the one they had. I would also make her spend more time with Conor to kind of build a suspense about why she is spending so much time with Conor. If I changed all of this then I feel the story will flow better to the reader and it would make more sense to why that is happening to Conor and his mom.
