In language, we have been learning how to format our essays by using the writing process. We have completed a partner interview essay, and we are currently working on writing our own version of a fractured fairy tale.

In Mathematics this Quarter we started learning about 3D figures and how to calculate Volume of Rectangular Prisms. Right now we are in our first Fraction Unit, using Parts and Wholes to calculate Area of a rectangle.

In reading, we have learned how to identify different types of genres. We finished up our genre mini unit and dove into realistic fiction. We have learned internal and external traits, how to compare and contrast, and how the setting affects our stories.

In science, we have been experimenting with fair tests. We have learned about scientific variables, the scientific method, and conversions. We have completed our Hershey's Hugs and Hershey's Kisses. Hershey's kisses melted faster! Now, we are testing paper airplanes to see how far they fly.
