I was excited and happy because I know that children from there cannot get certain food or facility that we are blessed with which made me realised that I am lucky and shouldn't take things I have for granted. Thanks to my ma'am's and senior who have thought over this well and hard this was executed well

After a year of not doing balsa wood glider through this VIA I got the chance to guide my junior and senior cadets to build a wooden glider for the children. During the preparation, my junior and senior cadets made some mistakes while measuring and drawing the parts for the gliders. Hence, with my experience, I was able to correct them and create the wooden gliders.
2)My expectations for the future is that I hope I can embark on a bigger VIA project such as guiding the community to create wooden gliders. It was indeed a fulfilling experience and I'm really happy that I was part of the VIA project

My experience during the changkat challenge was very interesting to me as I have never done this kind of things before in NCC. It was a very memorable event to me as during the first session where we had to do the gilders and wrap our donations, we got the chance to learn more about our sec 1 juniors and we also had the chance to bond with them. On the second session where some of us had to bring our wrapped donations to the Jamiyah Children's home, I felt very pleased that the children in the home are going to be happy with their new items that were donated by us. 

2.) My experience during the Changkat challenge was that i had so much fun doing it. We get to built a wooden glider, and designed it. We get to know more about the donation that was happening, and we wrote a lovely letter to the Orphanage home.

It was heartwarming to know that the items I donated were going to bring a smile on many children's faces and this act helped me realize how lucky I am to have a family I could spend time with and it breaks my heart to know that some children do not have that, which is why I am so glad to be apart of this act.
2. A week before we had to do this Changkat Challenge , my classmates and i were also making gliders. So i knew what i had to do and the expectations when it comes to making balsa wood gliders. It was a very memorable experience for me as i was unexpectedly able to get along well with some of the junior cadets. Another bonus points for me was having a group member who is able to draw/colour. From a person who isn't good in art , i feel really lucky to be able to have someone i can rely on when it comes to drawing or colouring. During the preparation , my group members made a few mistakes on the length of some parts of the gliders but we persevered until we made it till success. Overall , i really had fun with the junior and senior cadets , and the senior cadet leaders.

2) One thing that can be improved is to assigned everyone on what they can bring for the donation after asking them their budget so that we can prevent from having misconception or confusion.]]> 2021-05-02 07:13:39 UTC https://padlet.com/SSS_ML/airgirls2021/wish/1481880212 rabiatul adawiyah 3n3 https://padlet.com/SSS_ML/airgirls2021/wish/1482277198 1. my experience through this changkat challenge was that i had a lot fun guiding my junior and senior cadets by doing some hands-on activities for example making balsa wood gliders and also by decorating the gliders. eventhough i had made some mistakes on making the measurements of the glider, i tried to not give up and continue to finish making it. furthermore, it was very heartwarming that we were able to donate items to the children in the Jamiyah Children's Home but sadly we cannot give the gliders and the donations personally to them and we also cannot intermingle with the children there due to social distancing measures/ covid-19 pandemic.

I have learnt to appreciate more the things around me that I dismiss as a right. I learnt to give back to the community  for the privilege and blessings I have. I am and will always be very grateful to have been able to contribute to this activity of giving back to the needy. I was also truly moved by the fact that we all were so generous in donating to the children's home. It made me believe in humanity and inspired me to always do my best, to always be grateful for what we have.

1) one thing I have learnt is to be grateful as so many kids in Singapore are not as privileged as us. I was also glad and elated to donate items they really needed. I also had a fun time bonding with my seniors while making the gliders.
