Coronado was a Spanish explorer. He was also a military leader and that made him become and explorer. Coronado was very brave and confident. He asked the king of pain to pay for his journeys and the king said yes. He left on February 23,1540. On his journey he was looking for the 7 cities of gold. While he was exploring he did not experience any difficulties. Francisco is very famous because found many famous landmarks like the Grand Canyon. Vasco Nunez De Balboa was an explorer. He was born in about 1475 in Spain. He wanted to become an explorer because his dad was a explorer and he liked to fight with swords like a knight. Some special abilities that made him ready to become a knight are that he was good at fighting with swords, he was ready for whatever he had to do, and he could wrestle, swim, hunt and fight with a lance, and could beat every squire. Friar Juan, Balboa’s dad, other travelers, and Spain supported Balboa’s journey. He left for his journey in 1486 to become a knight and then again in 1501 he went to the land Columbus discovered in 1492. Balboa went traveling because he wanted to become a knight. There where many different battles during his travels. Balboa is famous because he discovered the great ocean, the Pacific, between America and Asia. He was the first European to to see the Pacific Ocean. His journey ended in 1513 when he claimed the Pacific Ocean and all of its shores. He soon died on January 12, 1519 at Acla, near Darien, Panama.

His purpose for traveling was, he led the first  European voyage of discovery to circumnavigate the globe. A difficulty he he faced was battling, he had a hard time battling back against Raja Humabon of Cebu. He is a famous explorer because he traveled across the entire globe. His journey ended when he died in 1521. He is famous because he circumnavigated the globe, and helped defeat the Spanish Armada. The reason he may have become an explorer is because of Christopher Columbus crossed the Atlantic ocean. His goal was to find the ‘New World’, so he left to look for it in 1504. The people who payed for his travels were his parents. During his journey Cortes faced the difficulties of  starvation and attack, luckily he was a skilled military leader. Because of that Cortes became famous for conquered the Aztecs in what is now Mexico, he also was appointed governor of New Spain in 1522. He decided to become an explorer. France supported his journey but he still had to pay for his own travels. He left for his trip on July 6, 1669. His purpose for traveling was to look for land. He had no difficulties during his trip. He is famous for leading an expedition down the Mississippi River. His journey ended on March 19, 1687, when he died.

He left in 1271 and did not return for seventeen  years. When he was gone, Venice was one of the most important trading cities in europe. He was travelling from Italy to China with his uncle and his father and took a weird route to and from Italy. The Polos experienced all kinds of extra weather like boiling hot days in the deserts and huge wind whipped sandstorms.When they slept on mountains it was to cold so they lit a fire to keep their clothes warm and them warm too. He also had to climb high mountains to see his surrounding and to see where to go. He traveled to many places like Asia , China , Kubai and started getting really famous for traveling back to Italy and writing a book about all of his travels. He died on January 8, 1324 in Venice, Italy.

He experienced fighting in the Philippines.  He is famous for circumnavigating the world in a single voyage. His journey ended September,1522. He died April 27,1521 and his body was never found.

Pizarro was assassinated by Conquistadors. Francisco Pizarro was famous for traveling the world and conquering new land. Francisco Pizarro's journey ended in 1532 when he went back to South America. Francisco Pizarro died June 26,1541 in Lima Peru.

On his journey he got wounded and had to limp the rest of his life. His journey ended in 1517 and we are still learning about him because he was the first european to sail all the way around the globe.
