         <description><![CDATA[<div> I have supervised a lot of History EEs in which students tend to head towards the really big historical questions like causes of revolutions.  This rarely works terribly well.  They need to drill down, and then further down so that they don't end up trying to write an essay about something which a professional historian has written a 500 page book about!  They could change a 'causes of the French Revolution' essay to a study of the impact of the Revolution on the city of Bordeaux for instance.  </div>]]></description>
