Then, the teacher-in-charge will hide and play the musical instrument behind/inside a box for its sound to be generated again and children will be required to guess the musical instrument that has been played. When the bean bag lands on one of the boxes, the child will have to lift his/her leg or jump over it.<br>This will help the child with the postural control and also balance.<br><br><strong><em>Age group</em></strong>: 3-4 years old<br><br><strong><em>Brief description of the activity</em></strong>: <br>Materials needed: <br>-Tape or chalk<br>-Bean Bags<br>-open space<br><br>For this activity the educators can help the children by drawing the layout of the hopscotch and numbering them. Then the child will throw the bean bag on the square that is numbered 1.  It has to land inside the square without touching the border or bouncing out. If the child don't get it within the lines, he/she lose their turn and pass the stone to the next person but if they do get it  within the square one then he/she can hop through the squares, skipping square one which is where the bean bag is on. If the child steps on the border or loses his/her balance then they're out. On the chids' way back towards square one, they will have to pick up the bean bag and skip the square one. The next step is to pass the bean bag to the next person. After getting through the first round the child will have to repeat throwing the bean bag from square 2 all the way to step 8 without losing his/her balance or stepping on the lines.</div>]]></description>

The distance can be adjusted based on the capability of the students.  For e.g. children will walk straight then sideways. To make the activity more advanced, the children can dance with the beanbag according to a specific tune.
