1. Build a Safe and Respectful Culture First

• Begin by setting class norms together (e.g., listen kindly, give helpful comments, respect each other’s ideas).

• Model positive feedback using sentence starters like:
  “I liked how you…”, “Next time, you could try…”

2. Start Small and Guided

• Begin with short activities like “turn and talk” after a lesson.

• Use teacher-led examples or practice feedback in pairs with teacher support.

3. Use Simple Tools

• Create easy “Two Stars and a Wish” templates (2 positive comments + 1 suggestion).

• Allow students to give verbal or written feedback, based on their language comfort level.

4. Make It Routine

• Include peer reflection weekly, so it becomes part of classroom life.

• Pair students regularly but also rotate partners to build community.

5. Link to IB Learner Profile

• Highlight how being a communicator, caring, and reflective helps everyone grow.

• Let students reflect on how giving and receiving feedback made them feel and what they learned.

6. Celebrate Effort and Growth

• Acknowledge respectful peer feedback during circle time or morning meetings.

• Display examples of kind feedback or improvement based on feedback (with permission).
