I felt like the stuff we learned, really helped me with understanding my faith and I learned a lot of new things about Catholicism. We went over Tattoos on the Heart and it helped me understand what people in the urban cities go through.  It mainly showed me a way people use Jesus' words and preachings into their life. We also read Barefoot Way, and it made me think about finding God in the most beautiful things. It also made me think of my childhood memories with the rain and running in it. One of my favorite things that we did was watch "Girl Rising" and it made me think about how girls my age are being treated in other parts of the world. There are girls out there that are getting an arranged marriage and sold to trafficking. It makes me think that I have an opportunity that God has given to live a fair life. This longing of God's to give us peace and assurance and a sense of well-being only awaits our willingness to cooperate with God's limitless magnanimity" (pg. 27-28). I feel like this quote helps me understand that whatever happens in life, is God's choice because it might have been better than what we thought and God finds what is best for us. God created us and will of course take care of us. 
 Another example is the videos that we saw in class, were inspirational like the "Girl Rising" and the short clip about the guy who did a lot of good deeds and got good stuff in return. When we watched Sonita's video, I felt kind of connected because I have passion for something that I have never seen a Muslim women do and my parents don't really agree and want me to be in the medical or lawyer field. I have learned that you can find God anywhere like in nature, praying, and e.t.c. I have also found ways that all religion seemed alike. Islam and Christianity and Catholicism have a thing in common: we believe in one God. There are more clearer explanations to things. Something that I have learned about myself is that if I want something so bad, I could work hard for it but it is the distractions that get to me.
