A newspaper in the year 1969 would come out twenty four hours after the event happened. Everyone would have already heard about it when it was happening and not be as interested hours later. It influences the different views of the people watching in person and seeing photos. They would hear the description of how the reporter sees it. However, newspapers are kept after big events for years just to remember one specific day. “Newspaper provides us with information collected from around the globe. It also helps to develop new ideas, and at times guide the common man how to think and discuss.” (Roy) Newspaper is better than video and picture in a way that the words allows for a discussion. One can read the details of a situation that someone may of not been able to see in a video. An event is more elaborated and explained for better understanding. In the situation of Armstrong landing on the moon people were lining the streets to watch and everyone else was waiting to hear about it. The newspapers were everywhere and not a single person did not have one. Reading about the event made Armstrong sounds like a hero even if facts were not true.

A broadcasted video showed exactly what was happening. There was no room for false information because it was being recorded and could not be messed with. People could see it for themselves and not have to imagine what was happening. A video impacts an individual differently than an image because you see the exact motion of a particularly event. There is no getting the perfect shot. “TV does not require searching, reading, or any active effort on the viewer’s part other than pressing a button to turn the TV on and changing the channel to their favorite local news broadcast." (Walker) Everyone wanted to watch Armstrong but with little effort. Watching the man land showed everyone how much we could accomplish. However a broadcast does not give an opportunity for fixing the truth so if something goes wrong everyone sees what happens. The video of Armstrong landing on the moon came out that day and everyone was anticipating it. They got the news first with the broadcast.

A digital article would be written later to describe a day in the past. Only people with computers could read the article lessening the amount of actual people seeing it. Articles allow for more facts from different perspectives such as a reporter or even a photo being added. An article based on the man on the moon would be read mostly by people who could not watch the event. This is because after watching the event and reading the newspaper and article would not be as important. "As we have seen, the technical properties of each medium place constraints on the ways people can use it by providing parameters within which human agents must operate and by more readily lending itself to particular applications." Very form of media will be used but because certain ones work for different people. A article would be used least for an event like this however in other circumstances an article on the internet might be the first media someone looks at when in a hurry. The article about Armstrong is mostly used now for research and not as much as during the particular event.

Digital Photography would be a photo taken that day then put online. A photo interprets how something looked. People would wait for the newspaper to come out to see the photo on the front page. A photo influences how people view a specific event. for example the picture of Armstrong showed what the actual moon looked like. "But they — the photos, not necessarily the obituaries — only told part of the story." (Pearlman) A single photo could only show a second of an event. Since this is true there could be misinterpretation of what is happening. Seeing the man on the moon was a very important photo but everyone was confused with one photo in particular. Wondering if Armstrong was camera shy or just not paying attention. A video would be a much better form of media to see Armstrong on the moon. The photo of Armstrong was put up everywhere to represent America being on top.
