Careers are something you'll be doing for a lot of your life.

You need to choose wisely what you want to do.

This should be something you enjoy doing so you love going to work.

Why learn about careers?

It is something you'll do all your life, so it's a very important decision to make.

Students should know what options they have.

This gives them the opportunity to dream about what they want to be!

What careers are out there?

For kindergarten students, they're interested in the major careers.

They want to be teachers, doctors, writers, singers, athletes, or scientists.

We should give students a broad idea of what's out there without getting too specific.

How do we teach them?

We can show videos about what careers are out there and what you do with this job. We can have career day where students can dress up as what they want to be.

We can just have discussions with the students so they get an idea of what they want to be.

What will they learn?

The students will get an idea of what they want to be when they grow up so they can start learning more about this job.

They will know what different options there are for a career.

They will understand that there's many different careers even under one title, like doctor.

They have time to think about what they want to do!
