My events include the 200 freestyle, the 100 butterfly, and the 50 freestyle. I started learning how to swim at Hart Park Pool when I was two years old and continued with it until freshman year. It inspired me to work there someday and help other kids learn how to swim. I've done Career Focus Video, Video one, I'm in Video two, and will take EMTV my senior year. I started to get into Video Production in eighth grade when I made short films with my cousins. I enjoyed making them so much it inspired me to join a class and hopefully turn it into a career. This year I am expanding upon Video Production and I'm taking The Art of Digital Photography to learn new skills about Photoshop and camera angles which I can apply to Video Production. One of our projects this year was to make a collage that included images that best represented us.

In early 2017 I spoke at a Spin4Crohn's event in Bella Terra and encouraged a group of athletes to raise money for Crohn's and Colitis. 

In late 2017 to early 2018 I joined Team Challenge, a group of people who run marathons and raise money to donate to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. I would join runners on Saturday mornings and encourage them to train and raise money and pass out water while on their runs.

 In late 2018 I participated in the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation Golf Tournament. It was an auction and fundraiser for Crohn's and Colitis. I spoke about my experiences with the disability and persuaded people to donate to the cause.

This upcoming summer will be my last year at camp as a camper, but I hope to come back as a counselor. We do different exercises to get to know the people in our cabins and others. Last summer I became an Leader In Training, or an LIT and tried different leadership roles to prepare us for the future. I got to know a lot of the new kids at camp and meet some of the counselors who have IBD as well. For the most part I spend time with my cousin Lauren who is a year younger than I am. We all go on rafting trips down the river, go on hikes, and swim in the calm areas of the water. We go tubing down the river on our own but we go rafting with a company when the water is high enough.
