Yes, Mr. Schuyler was a war hero that helped the US the the Revolutionary War but he was one of the BIGGEST slave owners in the late 1700s. Most Americans sweep slavery under the run and never wanna look back on it and it's sad. The US was built off off the blood, sweat, and tears of African Americans and they deserve way better. They should be getting statues and being glorified for building this corrupted country from nothing to something.
