- At that age around 5 - 6 years old, most of the time I can say I am extremely attached with my mum which I spend mostly in my parents room. Using the wall  as a whiteboard to draw and teach my students (soft toys), I was acting as a teacher.

They encouraged the adult to use their imagination to guess what they built in the end. Felt that the adult played the observer role.

They were assisting each other as they work, acting as builders and coming up with ideas as they go. “I’ll put in on top and you put it forward, etc.”

Roles – He is a baker, and a server as well.

 

Props – playdough with kitchen and baking utensils and a box as the oven

 

Extended time frame  - 6 minutes 

 

Language – He was talking to himself and sometimes speaking to his mom across – used many vocab related to baking. His mom praised him and used encouraging words.

 

Scenario  - A child was playing an active role while his mom was the participator and he made the second pie that looks a bit more detailed than the first one with some patterns on it. He was very focused.

A lot of self-talk. Adult was participating in the play as well when he gave the pie to adult, and was encouraging throughout.

He acted out as a chef/baker serving to a customer, and then back to the kitchen again baking something else. 

Role : The child playing a grown up role in providing food for his mum(perhaps dad a chef, a baker or simply playing the role of mum)

The Mum played an active participant responding to the little boy when he approached her. 

Props: Playdough, home baking tools

Extend time: 6-10mins 

Language: He spoke to himself quite a bit while molding and making his pretend food. He communicated with his um while taking on the role in providing food for her. Language was clear
