It really grabs you in by the first couple of sentences; it is very captivating. The best part of the book, is the last 100 pages. You really get attached to the characters and the adventures they take together. The ending of the story is really well written. It makes you think about the storyline, because it doesn't really tell you what happens after they leave the island. It explains them on the raft drifting further, and further away from land, but they don't say if they reach another island, it is up to your imagination. I love books like this because, you can make up your own ending, with the information given. I believe that the characters reached another island, and found other people to help them get back to civilization. I really felt like I was taking all of the adventures the characters were taking. She tried everything she could to help him, but nothing really worked.
