All students will have equal access to high-quality education and all students can succeed(ASCA National Model, 2019). As a school counselor, I believe that all students should have access to counseling programs.  I also believe school counselors should collaborate with family members, students, administrators, teachers, and other educational stakeholders to promote student growth and development(ASCA National Model, 2019). School counselors should help students with social-emotional, personal, and academic goals. A school counselor will help students learn to advocate for themselves. Students will feel prepared to contribute in a positive manner to society after completing high school.
