The album The Dark Side of the Moon is about the human condition. Humans are very often too self aware for their own good and this album is a brilliant example of this. There are themes of mortality, grief/loss, the futility of it all, acceptance, and the unknown. As well as commentary on society; greed, poverty, war, division, mental illness. The whole album has this sense of longing and hopelessness, it's very existential, but at the same time has this sense of contentment; this idea of, it is what it is, and in the end it doesn't really matter.
