         <description><![CDATA[<p>Rudolf Schrödinger, Erwins father, was a botanist and painter. He came from a Bavarian family that had settled in Vienna after many years. He worked at the Austrian Ministry of Finance but wrote many papers about the study of algae. </p><p><br></p><p>Georgine Emilia Brenda Bauer, Erwins mom, was half Australian and half English. Her father was a chemistry professor and education was highly valued in their family. </p>]]></description>

It explored the idea that living systems are able to maintain their internal order and organization by exporting entropy to their surroundings.
