Other people with more money will probably not be thinking about how to help the lower class but how to spend their money. People aren't as poor now and their are organizations to help them but there is still a lower, middle and upper class today. I do not think this will ever go away.

Along with that, the majority of Americans over the age of 16 are earning less than 20,000 dollars a year while the cost of living has only increased. The idea of a meritocracy is dead and has been.
