I had the opportunity when I went into classrooms for observations to see teaching practices in action. Something you don't get from an online course is peer connection. I would have loved to have module-long discussion boards with prompts that required many replies from students. I think that discussion can be extremely beneficial and healthy, especially amongst future educators.
