Context is important when teaching scientific notation because students understand better when they can apply it to real life situations. Just like putting simple operations into word problems, students have a deeper understanding of the concept it is put into context

Rational vs Irrational- we would use an anchor chart to explain this concept to students so they are able to refer back to the resource in the classroom
