2. Happened between the Hutus and the Tutsis.
3. Happened after a plane carrying President Habyarimana, a Hutu, was shot down, violence ensued.

5. An estimated 200,000 people participated in the preparation of this Genocide.
6. Corpses on the countryside where covered with banana leafs to shield them from aerial photography.
7.The genocide in Rwanda was not kept a secret.
8. The U.S.A. hand Initially banned officials from using the term 'genocide' after the violence.
9. An International War Crimes Tribunal has been set up in Arusha, Tanzania , to try the leaders of the genocide. However no death sentences have been given.

The Tutsi's were people who owned a lot of cattle, and the Hutu's were everybody else. The Hutus were us and the Tutsi's were them.The Twa's were small groups of hunters that lived in Rwanda. The division between the Hutus and Tutsis stems from way back when the Cushite (Tutsis) first conquered the Bantu (Hutus) and established themselves as rulers, an elite class  a cut above.The colonists came and further emphasized this divide by stating that the Tutsis are more European because of their physical qualities.When the colonists left, they left the Hutus in power. The Hutus, full of resentment, have placed themselves above the Tutsis, creating a whole new divide.

It's covered with green mountains landscapes.` It's renowned Volcanoes National Park is home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. Rwanda's population isn't very advance with many rural areas. It has one of the highest population densities among Africa, and much of its population is part of one cultural group called the Banyarwanda.  The Banyarwandans are split into 3 groups called the Hutu, Tutsi, and Twa. These three groups are basically their ways living and Christianity was the main religion in the area and Rwanda is a presidential country, so they have an elected president. Unlike countries near Rwanda, it has a low corruption rate and has better women's rights than most rural African countries. The Rwandan genocide began on April 7, 1994, when the Hutu government started killing people who were Tutsi because they had a sudden spike in their population, and the Hutu were scared that the Tutsi would enslave them all. Classification: The people were classified into three main groups.
2. Symbolization: The Hutu’s and Tutsi’s had a small difference in appearance. The Hutu’s made everybody wear cards because it made it easier to tell who was who. 
3.Discrimination: The Tutsi's were killed or forced into refugee camps that were many diseases spread.
4. Dehumanization: The Hutu’s thought of the Tutsi’s as something less than a human.
5.Organization: There was a lot of organization in the Rwandan genocide. The Hutu’s made plans on attacking the Tutsi’s. They also used a lot of information to enforce their attacks and they had weapons.
6. Polarization:They wanted everyone to think that the Hutu’s were better than the Tutsi’s and due to this  the Hutu’s used the plane crash with the president as an excuse to blame the Tutsi’s.
7.Preparation: Organizations of the Hutu’s planned all attacks on the Tutsi’s. They Identified the Tutsi's with the I.D. cards that they had given out.
8. Persecution: The victims would be sent away to camps and children would be sent away to orphanages.
9. Extermination: The attack on the Tutsi’s had been planned and once they were ready the genocide started. Millions of lives were lost from both sides of the battle. 
10. Denial: Everybody tried to deny that it was genocide, they denied that they committed and crimes. They used the excuse that it was a simple civil war in Rwanda. After some investigation was done it was finally admitted as genocide.
