The Jim Crow laws were made to segregate blacks from whites in the southern states after the reconstruction era. They separated the races from normal, all white stores, fountains, apartments, and such, to different colored facilities, most of worse quality.

Three causes of the depression were government and business spending increased in 1930, people spent less money because they lost more in 1929 due to the crash in stock prices the previous year, and due to a severe drought that started to destroy all the crops in the major agricultural states, the Dust Bowl, causing food prices to rise and farmers to lose tons of land and money. The worth of the USD then began to deflate, meaning businesses start to make less money from their products, causing them to raise prices. It all leads to a downward spiral effect that reaches around the globe.

The decision was 7-1. It made the segregation laws in the south legitimate.

In Georgia, there was a law that said blacks that have passed away should never be buried in grave yards permitted for whites. I hate this since it hurts me on a religious level, which I don't feel like explaining.
In Virginia, train conductors are required to assign blacks and whites to separate cars respective to their race. If the passenger doesn't disclose their race, then the conductor gets to judge them for himself. I find it unfair for the conductor to be able to choose where a person gets to go depending on if he told the conductor his race.
In North Carolina, segregated schools can't share textbooks between each race; they can only be interchanged between classes and schools of the same race. This is outright useless since the textbooks are completely safe to use for anyone.
