It is extremely important for parents to be educated on what to look out for with their children and being on technology. Not only is there cyberbullying, but there are also predators. Rely on online protection tools which forbid children from adult material and the predators that may come with this. Ways to monitor your children's screen use include teaching them fundamentals of staying safe online, book marking kid friendly sites, and use online protection if your children's school offers it.

ELL students may experience the following stages of cultural accommodation:
- euphoria: initial excitement about new environment.
- culture shock: then potentially experience anger, hostility, frustration, homesick, or resentment towards new culture.
- acceptance: with time they will accept their surroundings.
- assimilation- may embrace and adapt to their "new" culture.
Students may also face a variety of other experiences. Students may face a silent period, which is considered the first stage in language acquisition. Patience and setting up opportunities where these students may feel more comfortable can help ease the process. Additionally, students may face trauma or hardships in the US they didn't prior. Learning about expierences they may have encountered and taking training in trauma-informed practices can help.

Allowing yourself as the teacher to really get to know this student and implementing strategies so the classmates can also get to know their ELLs can help with anti-bullying. Teaching respect and acceptance.
This can be done by "get to know" you icebreakers and games. Look for ways to build trust between students, allow them to share stories. Allow them to ask questions too, and allow them to know you are listening by asking questions in response or answering questions.
What to know about our ELLs?
- Where are they from?
- What brought my student here?
- What should we know about their family?
- What languages do they speak?
- What kind of schooling have they previously had?
- What are their interests?

This is important because the best way to make them feel welcome is to tell them. Otherwise these families may let their fears of being unwelcomed, school records being public to government, keep home due to local immigration enforcement activity and etc will be protected. To begin, you can do this by posting welcome signs and messages and expressing this when you see them. You can also hold parent information meetings, phone calls, or collaborate with the community and build strong relationships with the families. This is important because early schooling has a significant impact on children's development. Communicating with these families and celebrating these students cultures and countries can prevent bullying in the classroom
