Figurative Language in the poem (3)

In the poem, an example of figurative language could be the metaphorical speaking to describe the nature in this forest he is constantly describing. In various parts of the poem, such as in lines 4-7, he mentions a "light, like a green latticework of branches, shining down on every leaf". This could be used to describe the light dropping from the top of the sky that was mentioned at the beginning of the poem. Its reflection onto these branches takes up a majority of the beginning of the poem, so it may be significant to what the poem actually means.

The form of poetry "Ode to enchanted night" takes is and ode. What the poem does is use figurative language to describe nature and symbolize how beautiful it can be. Normally, an ode is based around the fact that it can be performed in song and dance. But also, an ode should be very long, while this poem was rather short and couldn't be performed in song and dance. In a way, it barely scratches the surface when it comes to "Ode criteria"
