He likely saw a lot of trade in India because he may have came across some ports. For Denis and Francis, it was a nightmare to get through India. It was also the end point of them. Denis and Francis collected and brought back the same things that Marco Polo did. When Marco Polo was alive, Venice was a bustling trade city, and a gateway to the riches of Asia. Marco Polo started his Journey because he was brought along by his family.
