This smell comes from the mold that makes the food spoiled. Because the food now has a different aroma, it is a new substance because of the new aroma. The new substance indicates that a chemical reaction happened.</div>]]></description>

The combination of the fire and the other substance result in the changing of the flame's color. This shows a chemical reaction because the previous substance (the original flame) had a different color than the new substance (the new flame), and the change in color shows a change in substance. The change in substance means a chemical reaction.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The combination of sodium carbonate and hydrochloric acid creates fizzing. This effervescence shown coming from the two combined substances in the picture shows that a chemical reaction is happening.  The effervescence is the carbon dioxide created, as shown in the formula above. Because a new substance (carbon dioxide) was created, it means that a chemical reaction happened.</div>]]></description>

These color changes showed electrons being transferred as the liquid reacted with the oxygen. The indigo carmine in the substance turn green when it oxidized. The red color was a transition from amber to green. There was a new color created, and that new color represented a new substance. Because a new a substance was formed a chemical reaction happened.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In this demo, 50 mL of Hydrogen Peroxide was mixed with one packet of Potassium Iodide. Also, Mrs. Richardson somehow disappeared and a genie was in the room. Once the two substances were mixed, it quickly turned into foam and shot out of the graduated cylinder. In this reaction, there was a temperature change. The temperature went up. This means that is was an exothermic reaction. It released heat, so the temperature grew.</div>]]></description>
