That night it rained really hard causing water to flood the roads and brigdes. He decided&nbsp; to postpone it to the following day, but before he could pass the message on, a few slaves took it as a sign that it would go bad so they told their masters.</div>]]></description>

By September 9th almost 30 slaves were  caught awaiting trial. The court was called "Oyer &amp; Terminer" which was  where slaves were tried without the benefit of a jury.
