For students with social anxiety or a social disability, a modification is these students can show their teacher that they are able to think aloud by doing it in private, instead of working their problem or reading aloud where they might struggle to do so.

An accommodation for this could be text to speech to show thinking aloud rather than doing the talking. This may be beneficial to students with speech disabilities. This way they are still able to hear the step-by-step problem solving out loud without having any difficulties.
