The resources  that helped  me plan my learning centers was the article I read by Peggy Snowden and Linda Christian.  They talked about the 4  different levels  of centers and  what each level was involved in each level. When planning my center I focused on level 2. I liked this level because  the students are learning content while  choosing what  center they would like to explore. I was also thinking about adding level 3. Where  I could add a center based on a  students curiosity.  I also used  some of the suggestions that were provided by Susan Winebrenner. She talked about  having clearly stated directions and objectives for each center. She also mentioned the importance of having all the materials placed in one area but also showing students how to put everything away once students are done working at the center. I think  it is important for student to know rules and how they are expected to behave when they are at a center. I think all these suggestions are important because if students know what to do during center time then they will not interrupt the teacher that is helping other students.
