I think that the novel is a fabulous one that depicts what horrors occur in the camps during the Holocaust, and how they deeply impacted everyone that was there. Hannah's struggle and growth shows us that family matters above all and that we should always remember the importance of our heritage and culture, for it is what defines us and makes us who we are deep down inside ourselves. It is our identity!

I think that the book was really good. I liked the way it was organized and the details it had. I also found it very interesting like in the part where she had gone back in time it seemed as if it was a lesson for her to go through all of that for not taking it serious and for being spoiled. I feel like her going back in time and seeing what her grandpa and other people had to go through made her more grateful and take it more serious because at the beginning she was a spoiled brat who would take it as a joke and not understand why it was that her grandpa reacted to things in a certain way.

The devils arithmetic is a great book, Hannah the main protagonist is a girl that travels back in time to the holocaust as a Jew and experiences the cruelty of what happened to the Jews as the story started it wasn’t hooking but the more you read the more it hooked you in the story, getting more and more into depth of what happened during the holocaust. In my opinion the book is a great book.

I liked the book “The Devil’s Arithmetic” because it had a mix of many things like it had the story of Hannah and how she was living in the modern world and how she didn’t want to remember and thought the Sedar was dumb but then she goes back in time to where everything was happening and now really understands what happened and wants to remember.

Also in the beginning of the story, she was sort of a brat and was annoyed but now that’s she’s lived it she really compassionate about it.

I liked “The Devil’s Arithmetic” because it shows Hannah’s growth and how her perspective of things changed. In the beginning of the book it shows her as a spoiled kid and someone who doesn’t want to remember anymore. During the rest of the chapter she changes from a kid who didn’t care much about the holocaust to someone who relates to the pain her family went through in the camps.

I think the story was ok for what it was about and i think they did a good job on why it is important for people to remember there dead family members especially ones that died in stuff like the holocaust like in chapter one where she said she was tired of remembering and then later got transfers back in time to the holocaust and eventually giving up her life to save another and realizing what its good to remember

I think the book is telling us consequences of what she did or to get her to experience what it was like. She was getting taught how it was back then and teaching her many lessons. It taught her how to be responsible and how to be respectful. The book was really about teaching her a lesson which was good because she was very disrespectful and didn’t have a lot of discipline when she was in her own time.

The Devil’s Arithmetic…. I honestly think the book was very interesting and entertaining because the way it is all layed out and the conflicts and problems that come within the story and what happens to a lot of people in the book. I feel like Hannah made a lot of progress within the whole book and she started to realize what’s life is about and the importance of it. At first she didn’t understand and things like that which lead her into positions she shouldn’t have been she took a lot for granted into it was to late and she started thinking family is really more than just a name . A lot of people were dying out of nowhere and she had to live with that. It reminded me of kinda how i grew up I never thought family was that important and I should put them before anything before it was to late and when i realized that in life i started living by the day and stuff and i think that’s what she started to do.

I really enjoyed the Devils Arithmetic. I enjoyed how real it was to the holocaust and i liked how the main character Hannah was someone who didn't care much about her history until she lived it. I enjoyed how when Hannah became Chaya she began to see the world differently but it took her actually being there to see that her behavior wasn’t good. The way they went about showing the pain of WWll was very creative and was a great representation. 10/10

I think that the book shows a good perception of how it was like going through those difficult times. It shows us the emotions that Hannah felt. The book gives us a good description of how every event effect Hannah. She learned what it was like to be alive during those times and how to handle her emotions.

Hannah’s point of view of the holocaust changed, she understands her grandpa and understands the things he went through.

I think that the first chapter is the best because I can related to it better. This is because i never really liked leaving to anywhere that i never wanted to be. So I say Hanna and me were the same way about leaving to see people that I really didn’t know.

I believe that The Devils Arithmetic was a very interesting Novel. Although there were some overly boring parts, the author still found a way to steer the moment. My personal example would be the responses that were given towards the character Chaya (Hannah) throughout the chapters. I’d like to say that I loved the process of her gradual character development.

I think The Devils Arithmetic was good and interesting. When she went back in time as Chaya it really made me think ahead about what would happen to Hannah and how she would handle the situation of being in someone else’s body. Even tho the book was good I kind of wanted more detail to what exactly happened to her and the girls that she went down to the cave with and how Gitl and everyone else reacted to Hannah's death.

This was a great novel. Although, at first i thought Hannah was just a spoiled kid who doesn’t like her families traditions, but as the story went on, Hannah got pretty good character development. At the end of the story she like understands her families traditions and appreciates them because she now knows what they’ve been through. I also like how it shows like the pov of the characters because it demonstrates what the jews experienced during the holocaust. Overall, this was a pretty good novel really because it shows that others might have been through and you don’t know why they make certain choices.

The book has some problems on showing feelings of the people by cutting it short, but the story of someone time traveling is really creative and showing different things from modern world with the past and showing the problems that most people won’t know what happen to them.

I think it’s a decent book. I like how they made it more interesting by adding time traveling into it. I learned from it. I also feel like it kinda apples to life it self like putting yourself in Hannah’s place of where she is. Like even when things got hard at the camps she still tried to escape and make things better but in the end its all about your identity.

I liked it because it tells the story of a young Jewish girl named Hannah who is transported back in time to the holocaust. We get to see it in Hannahs perspective, and the book explored the horrors and realities of the concentration camp. It’s a thought-provoking and emotional read, showing an important period in history. It also conveys the human experience during such a dark time.

I liked “The Devil’s Arithmetic” because it shows how Hannah looks at things and the different way she thinks on stuff. I also liked the part where she went back in time so she could really see how things were back then and fully understand what the Jews went through. It also shows Hannah’s struggles and growths through the entire book, in the beginning on the story, she was bit of a spoiled brat but then later on she understands what her family went through and how important it is on her family religions and cultures.

The devils arithmetic is a very good story, it’s good that it was made to inform us on all the horrors that have occurred in the past. It tells us what we have evolved from and we are more civilized. I didn’t exactly like the main character Hannah she seemed very rat-ish but I loved aunt Eva. The wedding part was sad because Rivka wasn’t able to have her perfect wedding that she wanted.

"The Devil's Arithmetic" was a good book overall. I enjoyed the transition between the future and the past, which allowed Hannah to experience what her relatives had to go through during the Holocaust. This taught her a lesson to be less ignorant towards the past and to live and experience it. It was a good representation and showed awareness of the Jewish genocide and what people had to go through.

I liked the novel the Devils arithmetic because it shows how Hannah came to learn about the holocaust cause she didn’t really understand it and it showed how she changed throughout the story entirely. I also really liked how she connected with the characters and was slowly starting to get to know them and connecting with them through out the story. I also like how perfectly the story came together and how as much as you kept reading the story got more interesting

I liked the book because when she went back into time she had the ability to see what her family members have been through because she went back to the time when they were experiencing all this stuff about the holocaust and so did she since she was the one who went back in time and now in the present time she’s back in the normal timeline and every time she looks at her aunts and uncles and grandpa she now understands what they’ve been through and how they’ve been treated at the holocaust she now lives a happy life with her current timeline but she now got a sad and happy ending about what they’ve went through.

I enjoyed this book because the author was able to effectively depict the horrors of the holocaust and I learned a lot about the event itself and the camps that I didn’t even consider before. The development of Hannah as a character is also a major part of the story, she starts the book being annoyed and disinterested with her family’s history, but after living through it herself she begins to understand the importance of respect and remembrance.

I liked this book because i feel like it tells a lot about the history. Aswell as teaching her a lesson when she had to go back in time. It taught her to be grateful of the life she lives and what she has, along with giving her understanding on why her grandpa got upset with her. The ending shows how truly cruel the natzis were especially when that ladys finger got cut off. I feel like back then in that time everyone was suffering without diversity and acceptance that everyone is equal. Color and beliefs are unimportant to each their own.

I liked “the devils Arithmetic” because it paints a good picture in your mind of what is happening. it also shows the development of characters such as Hannah. it also helped me realize how brutal the camps were and how they functioned.

And i like how the book is divided into three sections and how Hannah perspective changes throughout the story. I found myself getting stuck to the screen reading more and more.

The author leads Hannah, a New York-born granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, on a journey of uncovering her family's roots that wind through one of the darkest moments in Jewish history. The narrative includes appropriately jarring depictions of the horrors suffered in Nazi work camps, but keeps a theme of loyalty to family and faith alive throughout.
