If we were to just randomly jump into Venezuela and try to force our hand in an effort to help, we may just over complicate the problem and make things worse for both parties. For the time being, the US should stay neutral until problems in Latin America hit us directly. If the US were to step in before they make any signs of improvement, they could bring us down with them. It is not our job to "clean up their mess". Latin America needs to be held responsible for finding improvements that need to be made. Although I feel the US shouldn't interfere with Latin America as a whole, I do think that Puerto Rico would benefit from our help. ex: (US with Puerto Rico) by giving them equal representation in the government by letting the PR citizens have a voice especially if the US wants to associate/implement PR as a state they'll have to start giving them equality just as if they are a state.

ex: (Haiti's cleanliness/dependence) by helping fertilize their land to where they can start to grow crops and improve agriculturally ultimately leading to some economic progression with the increase in produce and possible trade from other nations and they'll not have to rely on the market shared with the Dominican Republic at the border.

ex: (Amazon Rain forest deforestation) by implementing policies that'll help preserve the AR by having criminal offences or fines be set in place to reduce the destruction of the AR, or even reward those who help in the restoration of the AR by planting trees or someway providing something beneficial to the ecosystems/land. This may also have a domino effect in a way because if the government would grant money rewards then the people in poverty could have an economic reset and find a better way to help get out of their current position. People are still people no matter where they live, what they look like, and what they do. The US, being one of the most powerful nations can't even provide help to their closest neighbors? That's sad. We see thousands and thousands of Latin Americans fleeing their homes because of the situations they live in, the least we could do is help them. Latin America in many ways. For example the United States should stop buying meat from Nicaragua, because they are Killing their people for meat production. If the United States stops buying from them, the murders will decrease. Another example is the poverty in Venezuela. The United States can set up many food banks with the money they have to help the children in need, and also provide teachers for better education.

Many of the major problems in Latin American countries stem from their corrupt government. The U.S. doesn't have ways to dismantle an essentially authoritarian government as long as it is backed by that country's military. Take Venezuela for example, it is controlled by Maduro, who used food to buy votes from the impoverished to get elected president. Once a better government is established in these countries many of the problems they face will be solved. One way the US could help is by cutting back on any affairs they have with these Latin American countries to help push for a better government.
