I assumed that everyone in the United States celebrates Thanksgiving and enjoyed time with friends and family. Learning this information definitely impacts the way that I think about this Holiday. I think it's important to have traditions and celebrate national holidays; however, I also think it's important to note that the Native Americans would have a completely different view on this holiday and may even view it as a day of mourning (since so many of their relatives were forced off their land or killed).
