The font is red, which can symbolise blood and death as well as the balloon. The clowns face is distorted by the balloon and you can tell he's the bad guy of the film as he stands over the child. This poster could make people curious about whats going to happen to the child and want to watch it to fin out. The tagline "You'll float too." insinuates that there is a dead body that could be floating in water, it may be the Childs and it would creep people out. It doesn't have any characters in it just the film title and a shot of a sewage canal, which related to the film because one of the most popular scenes of the film was when a child sees the clown in a sewer and gets killed. The trailers starts with the first couple of scenes in the movie, including the iconic scene of Pennywise in the sewer. Also to hype up the film and show how good its going to be. Their Facebook and Twitter accounts have over 1 million followers even before the movie came put showing excited people were to see it.

Its just the movie title that they use in the posters, its the same blood read and the same creepy looking font and its just on a black background. Its simple but effective. The red symbolises blood and death with features in the movie a lot as its a horror film.
