The Social Security Act made it so that money would be paid to the government ahead of time by the working class. This money would be paid back to the workers but not until way later on and it would not be paid in full.
Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (1938)- This was put in place to protect American citizens. Back then, there was not a lot of regulation on goods, so there were supposed "cure-alls" that were actually extremely dangerous. This act made it easier to regulate products such as medicine and cosmetics, and helped the older Food and Drug administration. The FDCA helped seize dangerous products and protect Americans from dangerous goods.

Bureau of Public Roads (BPR) (1918)- This act helped in many ways. It helped create jobs during the depression and worked with the PWA and WPA. Most importantly, it made public highways and roads nicer, and led to the construction of even more. The workers would maintain land and buildings, as well as create new ones. Places all over Wisconsin have been directly affected by this act, whether they were built or restored by the CCC. U.S. Post Office Department (1792)- The Post Office is a major part of most American lives. From letters to Amazon packages, everyone needs things to be delivered to 
 their homes. The depression was difficult for the post office, but it was revived with funding from the new deal.
