The overall argument is that Muslim girls are often subject to less exposure to sports when compared to their white peers and Muslim males. The author argues this by bringing up several points, including that Islamic rules of life restrict the leisure activity that Muslim girls are allowed to perform. Muslim girls are influenced by their parents and religious ideals to focus on their domestic lives and therefore are not given the same amount of sport-related opportunities as other groups.

This can be assumed due to the central figure in the image ( the basketball hoop ) as well as the symbols on the mural that are its background. The basketball hoop itself being painted shows that the people of this location do use their beliefs when relating themselves to sports. It is also clear that this image does not show any sign of negatively toned symbols , as the area looks used and peaceful , even though the plants roots overhead spill across the mural.

From what we can takeway through assumptions , we can assume that the author intended to demonstrate that religion itself is a solution into uniting people through sport.

The author's argument is that there seems to be a great divide in the way that young male and female adolscents react to LGBTQ. Whereas most females are accepting , many males do not agree and clash with the LGBTQ. This article also goes into research that may indicate that these feelings may be due to religion.

PROPOSED SOLUTION- The authors stress the fact that negative feelings towards LGBTQ rights may not be because of nature of the beliefs in religion , rather the contemporary interpretations of said beliefs. PROPOSED SOLUTION- There should be more research conducted in order to investigate sports violence as a sort of gateway from other issues , such as class , race , sexual preference and such. It surprised me when women in Australia were still not given better rights than the Islam women from before. It shows that even though an area may appear to be modern , the ideologies within that region may not be so advanced. This source does not focus so much on religion though , more on culture.

There is a definite stigma in young children surrounding sports. Many children already associate some sports with gender and thus do not want anything to do with that sport because they don't wanna break through the social construct. However it is crucial to note that according to the study , it seemed that girls participating in masculine sports was more “acceptable” then boys participating in feminine sports.
