He has a deformed face that will always make him look different. He has had many surgeries to fix his face but none of them could make him look ordinary.August is also very brave. He has never been with other kids before and he is already going into Middle School! My other character is Summer. She is very friendly. She tries to make friends with everyone. Summer is also very open minded. She goes out of her way  to go and sit with August. Palacio, the plot line has 5 main parts. First comes the exposition. The main characters are August, Summer, Jack, Julian, and August's family. The setting is at August's house and his school, Beecher Prep. The protagonist is August and the antagonist is Julian. August's biggest conflict is his face. The rising action is the tour. It is also when Summer sits with August and when Jack punches Julian in the face. This shows that Jack wants to be friends with August again. The climax of the story is when Auggie gets into a fight with 7th graders at the Nature Reserve. Some of the kids come and help August. The falling action is when Amos becomes popular and Julian is no longer one of the "cool" kids. The resolution is when August wins the final and biggest award of the ceremony. Then there is a shift. Palacio, I would give it 5 stars! It was amazing. This book had an interesting topic and an amazing story line. It gives you many different emotions. Some are sad, happy, and excited. It is sad because there dog Daisy died. But then it turns happy again when he makes some friends and wins an award. Palacio,  Augusts parents are really nice. His mom stopped her job to take care of him after and during his many surgeries. She also comforts August when he needs it. His dad is a really funny guy that is always trying to look on the brighter side. At first Auggies dad was really concerned about August  going to school. He said that he was like  a lamb to the slaughter.
