Raphael Sanzio, grew up in an artisitic environment. His father, Giovanni Santi, was a painter at the court of Urbino, and he began teaching Raphael the basics of art an early age. Tragically, Raphael lost both of parents when he was young-his mother when he was eight and his father when he was eleven. Despite this, Raphael continued to study art, moving to Perugia where he worked under a famous painter named Perugino. By the time Raphael was a teenager, he was already know for his talent and began creating his own works, which showed incredible skill for someone so young. His early exposure to art and his natural talent set the stage for his later success as one of the great masters of the Renaissance

https://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/artists/raphael
