The old man looked up to see the vast creature he had once squished regaining its strength and searching for shelter. The old frightened man looked behind to see the bright blinding light had turned into a dark death-defying space lit up by beautiful wondering stars. The iron horse moved closer 4 miles 3 miles 2.

Meanwhile the bloody man desperately searching for shelter in the abandoned desert with no one to care! Nothing but etched stone caves full of jet black bats attached to stalactites like a rocket aiming for death! A very bud scratching as if nails on a chock board defending all the young scared cabin crew, then a grey hole appeared almost like sink hole opened and broke its way through the dunes of death ;sand. The clock turned to reveal his fate. Through the silhouette of the misty town. I felt the sharp stab of lightning, thunder as loud as hell.

Macbeth climbed out of bed. I remembered the voices which were like rusty wheezing kettles that rattled in the ghostly wind, screaming ‘you will be king!’ He creped down the groaning stairs (which seemed to last forever). The stars cried red tears as the blade sliced through King Duncan’s life, blood oozing from the knife’s blade. The clock stopped.

Macbeth crept back down to the hall and whispered “I have done the deed.”

But she was not satisfied.

Suddenly, in a flash of lightning, three ropey tatty figures appeared in front of the strong warrior’s, the two warrior’s had puzzled faces and then Macbeth spoke “Who are you, speak if you can”. Then they all raised their hand and screamed at the top of their croaky voices “All hail Macbeth! Hail to thee thane of Glamis” “Hail thee thane of Cawdor” “All hail Macbeth who shall be king”. Then suddenly quieter than time they disappeared. “Whom were they?” snorted Macbeth “Mad people” laughed Macbeth slightly shook at the encounter.

Looking for the gold undercover of the shadows I make my escape and creep down the dark musty alleyway. Suddenly I stop at the horrifying sound of clunking boots… Clunking like a robot being commanded. The lights ahead flickered like fireflies under a tree of solemn. I closely observe the men as they trudged down the stony, cobbled street. All of a sudden I see them… The pouches of gold on the back of the men’s belts… My hope is like a fragile seed but I wouldn’t give up.

The men were as quiet as mice under a haunted doorstep. They knew they had committed this challenge of death. The unconscious lay there like a snapped stick. The building was so old and ridged it was a spine shiver conjuring mess. They were heading for the dark, cobwebbed passage behind the misty painting to meet the greatest there has ever been in history!

He stepped out of the dark and the mist to the mansion, medieval and dark. His eyes were fireflies, flickering in the wind. He sneaked towards the building slowly. Suddenly his daggers of heat pierced through her black t-shirt. The old misty trees got darker and darker as the witches disappeared into thin air leaving just the manky old cauldron.

He heard a scream as loud as a lions roar and a unoirtan fate laid before him as the footsteps got louder the breath got colder like all happiness had gone from the world. Deaths clock ticked … feared and frightened he was. He stood up. With complete silence his leather black boots tiptoed over the mossy stone floor that was bumpier than a turtles shell.

By Isabel Davies Cortes

Once there was a mini town in china called Yishan which was towered in beautiful, fresh-smelling flowers and over flown with divine shops built almost everywhere in town. Yishan was a popular town but nearby was an ancient volcano that hadn’t erupted, unfortunately it had a majestic emerald-green dragon resting on the rim of it, the old town elder was not worried about this because he knew that majestic dragons liked gold and jewels and he knew that the town didn’t own and gold or jewels, everyone in Yishan trusted the wise elder so they did not as worried but they still hoped that he was right. One fine morning a poor lady had been sobbing about losing her child so the town put out a communal search party. One of the head-throbbing town’s people had found a ragged shoe that had belonged to the child, unfortunately the people knew deep down that the child had been taken or even eaten by the gloomy-emerald dragon. The town elder had had enough! All their food went missing because of the devilish dragon. The town elder asked everyone if they wanted to fight the dragon but of course they said “No!” The wise elder decided to gather lots of bags and put pebbles in each one, except for one that had a green pebble, who ever had the green one had to fight the dragon...

*********

There was a carcus smell as black crows flew up and sat on the beam, the unpleasant sight of a ragged rope and the sound of sinister silence...the exquisite sky was shining bright as the sun, brighter than a crystal...the pitch black sky so dark you couldn’t see a thing...

tBy Grace Jones

The cackling crows sat on their morning perch. The dawn light shown over the hills, the frost was as cold as ice, but the crows didn’t care about getting their feet cold it was part of everyday life. I leaned against the post and tried to relax my breathing. My blood stained hands found their way into the pocket of my black jeans for two reasons, the first reason was for warmth and the second reason was to pull out the sharp blade that was cutting into my leg. I walked down the cobble road and stopped outside a dimly lit house… I knew I had to do the deed, it was wrong but he would kill me if I didn’t. The house looked as though it should have been condemned ages ago, I cautiously walked up the rotting steps and pushed open the creaking door. Once I was inside I looked around, I could smell moss and sea salt in the air and I could hear footsteps… they weren’t mine. I turned around to see a middle aged man staring at me I ran at him, tackling him to the ground and inserting the blade and stepped away from the corpse and walked into the dark street…

By William Gladson
Silent whispers echoed through the sturdy soldiers. Lightening lashed down at the metal buildings, the dimly lit lights flickered like a candle yet had enough light to reveal the corpses after a disastrous gun fight. The soldiers swaggered easily staring at the dark, misty soot that wafted up into the air.

Rats whimpered and scuttled to the rusty sewer pipers as though it was a race. I stopped staring at this ominous sight and slowly crept away. I stared at my scars and I slowly slithered away. I thought I was safe! Yet, once again, I heard a bang which sounded frighteningly like a cannon.

I scuttled back like a spider, I could smell soot and coal filtering the air. I took cover behind a box. It was large and scaly so I knew I had a chance to escape, with cover. I peeked down the stairs. My mind slowly cranking into gear, I could see 2 silhouettes chatting to each other. I knew then I could escape.

I quickly lifted myself up and crept away like a panther, my mind trying to cool me down. I lept through an open window, my mind racing quickly. I then realized there was nothing to stop my fall. Then I saw a tarpaulin and quickly landed. I gazed up at the at the sleepy house, overwhelmed by my achievement.

All my research gone. Gone
in just a blink of an eye our vessel sunk. From a full research barge to a raft
made of driftwood. My clothes. Gone. No food or water except for the salty sea
which makes me regurgitate nevertheless the fog makes me feel like I have a
blindfold on!!!!

As I looked around me I was petrified to see all the vessels
merged with the rocks and ever screeching sounds of the bolts hanging on for
dear life. I had been studying the Bermuda triangle and me and my team had been
trying to figure out how to help the inhabitants of a remote island.

I looked out across the cloud filled sky. The crows were out,
I could hear there mournful screeching echoing throughout the town. I didn’t
have long. I clambered down the grim covered wall and wiped my blood stained
hands on my torn leather jeans. Suddenly,
a cold wind crept up my spine and paralysed my entire body. I saw the
gargantuan silhouette looming in the distance. Its presence made me feel alien.
Slowly, majestically it made its way over to me, destroying everything in its
path. Houses turned to rubble, the flowers wilted and the grass faded of its
colour. My eyes were desperately searching for a chance to escape but once it
has you, you can’t escape. You can struggle, you can fight but nothing can help
you escape. Then, something strange happened. There was no wind but the leaves
rustled on the trees and on the bushes, then they started shaking so much they
blurred. Everything blurred like god had picked up the world and had given it a
shake. I shut my eyes and told myself it isn’t real, this is all a dream. I
opened my sticky eye lids and looked around. It was gone. Everything was. It
was just black. Once my eyes had got adjusted to the dark I looked at my
surroundings it was like I was under a parachute of darkness. Then, I realised
the walls were edging closer to me and the ceiling was caving inwards.
