Learning that something may happen to someone we love can drive us to do anything out of the fear of losing them. Anakin demonstrates this in the Star Wars prequels after he has visions of Padme dying. He is then moved by a personal need to save her that leads him down the path of the Dark Side. Anakin’s fear and need for Padme leading him to betray the Jedi Order is a perfect example of how greed and fear can affect decisions we make.

It follows the life of Chase Daniels, a meth addict during a zombie apocalypse. During his travels with his friends, he discovers that methamphetamine usage is the only way to stave off airborne infection. This creates several large conflicts manifested through fear and greed. A fear of death or turning into a “chuck”, and a greed fueled need for more meth. The most crucial of these conflicts occurs after Chase steals a rock from a group they have joined up with in a jail. He without thinking gives it to one of their members, leading to them being pummeled by the cook. This sparks a chain reaction that ends with betrayal and blood as a cruel metaphor for how greed and fear play into our decisions.

I believe the artist’s message behind this is that corporatism is taking over and will destroy the world. It is a beautiful analogy of how humanity treats the world we live on. That our greed is destroying what we have and only taking away from the world.

This group was led by Cassius and Brutus, with Brutus betraying his friend for the good of Rome. Cassius on the other hand was envious of Caesar and felt that nobody should hold that power. The senators’ fear moved them to murdering a well regarded and respected leader as shown in this painting by Vincenzo Camuccini.

Many people were fearful of what might happen if their candidate wasn’t elected. The artist of the political cartoon is demonstrating this by showing how Trump and Hillary were fear mongering in order to gain an advantage. It is particularly effective because it includes both Trump and Hillary, making it more politically objective.
