Foreground:
1. I used the Oxford dictionary to find this term.
2. I used this website because it gave great validity such as examples of sentences and synonyms. It also went in depth of the background of the word.
3. I also used this website because it was made at the actual Oxford University and went into a lot of depth with the definition.
4. This definition is useful for my picture considering it's just a picture of a close up of a woman's face.
Citation: “Foreground | Definition of Foreground in English by Oxford Dictionaries.” Oxford Dictionaries | English, Oxford Dictionaries, en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/foreground.

Elena Dorfman began to research the ties between the importance of dolls to human beings because her curiosity got to the best of her. At first she wanted to create these photos out of curiosity of how to photograph men having intercourse with 125 lb silicone dolls. But once she realized the importance of the dolls she started to get more in depth with it. Later on she found out that there was a connection historically and culturally because the bible talked about how God created woman to please the man. Women started out as perfect but as soon as Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge she sent the world into misery. So as soon as women gain curiosity they become imperfect and these images are supposed to bring that perfection.

Citation: “Artist Statement.” Elena Dorfman, The L.A.
