         <description><![CDATA[<p>In any helping profession, practicing self-care is a crucial step in maintaining one's own wellbeing and the wellbeing of others. When counselors are in the right state of mind, they are in a better position to provide effective counseling to others, and they are less likely to "bring their work home" with them and take out their frustrations on loved ones. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The first way I can practice self-care is to engage in exercise and breath work on a regular basis. Whether by practicing yoga poses and focusing on breathing techniques, or by lifting weights and cardio, exercise can be a great outlet. Additionally, exercising releases endorphins making one naturally happier and more positive. </p>]]></description>

This includes getting enough sleep and making homecooked meals that nourish my mind and body.
