Great presentation :) I'm curious to know what kind of impact this task design shift has had on teaching staff in terms of how they assess and provide feedback - eg. more/less time required for marking? More/less demanding, or new/different demands?

I like how this direction of pursuing an alternate route led to students discussing and thinking about academic integrity together during the beginning stages of the assessment. Fostering explicit student engagement with assessment requirements around academic integrity is a win in my book.

Sometimes we are approached by academics who request targeted support for an individual assessment due to their concern with students' ability to successfully complete it. In such situations, this could be good advice to give them, in terms of scaffolding milestones to facilitate student success.

Really like this. The page number requirement especially. What happens if a student doesn't put them in, is that a rubric criterion?

And on the milestone: did you ever think about making it a threshold, so skipping it meant not passing? I'm curious whether the small marks were enough on their own, or whether you'd push it further next time.

This is a great way to ensure learning is happening and also to build the student's confidence.
